Bradley K. Benson

Brad has represented and counseled business and real estate clients through formation, financing, development, growth and culmination, including strategic sale or acquisition. He specializes in negotiation and documentation for all sides of commercial transactions, including related financing.

His financing experiences include both borrowers and lenders in traditional, securitized, private, mezzanine and venture financing sources. Brad’s representation extends to his clients’ day-to-day operations, including contract review, drafting and negotiation and handling of regulatory matters.

Before Volant Law, Brad was a partner in several prominent law firms, including the Denver office of Greenberg Traurig, an international firm of over 1800 lawyers, and the Denver firm of Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio. Brad also previously served as in-house counsel for SecurCare Self Storage, Inc., a national self-storage provider, and for Nord Capital Group, a Sellers M&A intermediary firm.

Brad received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School, where he also completed the Concannon Program of International and Comparative Law in London, England. He went on to earn his LL.M in Taxation from the University of Denver. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Wheaton College (IL), where he also played football, earning Team Captain and All-Conference honors.

Outside the office, Brad and his wife, Kia, enjoy the rigors of raising three sons. His additional personal interests include cycling, hunting, ice hockey. Brad and Kia support several local charities, including the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center (JAMLAC), Confluence Ministries and Inner City Health Center. Brad also currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Colorado Christian University (CCU).
