J. Bryan Gwinn’s practice concentrates on civil litigation, business law, and personal injury. Bryan has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of legal matters including disputes between shareholders, employers and employees, breach of contract and other cases between companies, real estate matters and appeals to the Colorado Court of Appeals. Bryan has also ensured that clients injured in a car accident or at work receive a fair and just recovery for their injuries. He also helps small businesses navigate a variety of issues like entity formation, contract and lease drafting, and investment issues.
Bryan was born, raised, and educated in Champaign, Illinois, where he earned a BA in Philosophy from the University of Illinois. After graduating, he worked for the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and a U.S. Senator during several years in Washington, D.C. Soon after, Bryan left the beltway to enroll in the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he served as a Senior Editor of the Law Review and held an internship for a Judge on the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. In 2010 he founded The Gwinn Law Firm LLC where he spent seven years handling a wide range of cases for clients throughout the Front Range. He became a partner at Volant Law LLC in 2017.
Bryan is an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoys bow hunting for elk in the Colorado backcountry, and camping and hiking with his wife and two young children. He serves on the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Amicus Committee, volunteers regularly at the Denver Rescue Mission legal clinic, is on the advisory board for Mile High WorkShop, and a member at Fellowship Denver Church.
